A spontaneous moon dance on Argonne in Midtown. Before the "hippie diaspora" spread the counterculture to Decatur, Lake Claire and Grant Park, Midtown was ground zero. Older, more conservative Atlantans sold or rented their homes and skedaddled to the suburbs. The result was a huge stock of cheap housing just as Atlanta was being flooded by young people in search of the Big New Thing.
