Tony Kupersmith and Judy Forbess visit the hippie crash pad I shared with Kathleen Marsh on the fourth floor walk-up of an apartment building at Juniper and Third Streets. They lived on 10th Street directly across from Piedmont Park, which was hippie heaven. Tony was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and I'd dated Judy when we were classmates at Memphis State University.
The photo was taken in midsummer 1970 and the tiny air conditioner only served to move the hot, humid Atlanta air from left to right and back again.
