"The Summer of Love" media description of hippie times refers to 1966 by the San Francisco clock, but stretched from 1968-72 in Atlanta. The area of Peachtree Street between 14th and 8th streets blossomed with stores selling everything for the well dressed and kitted-out hipster. More than love was in the air. Sniff Sniff.
